Are you trying to lose weight like me?
I’m so sick and tired of those strict exercise regimes or stringent diet plans. They are almost IMPOSSIBLE to stick to. This past year I’ve gained 17 more pounds. Have I given up on the hopes of losing weight?
Once I get into the GROOVE of dieting, I’m okay, but it’s that first week (or two or three) when I’m hungry, tired, and feeling run down from the change in my eating that make it difficult to stick with. I thought long and hard about what I have done in the past and what I’ve missed, and frankly, I realized that I don’t switch up my supplements to help me FEEL my best as I’m dropping the weight.
So I did a little research
From protein shakers, energy boosters, green tea, fat burners, and meal replacement shakes, adding healthy extras can be a good choice for those who want to target weight loss. Of course a healthy diet is the key, but by adding a combination of skinny supplements it may help you lose weight in a healthy manner without compromising on the nutritional value. Let us look into some of the supplements that are an easy choice and healthy replacement to your unhealthy diet.
Protein drinks
You can use these as a meal replacement formula, as they are designed to mimic your daily meal. Find one that is fairly low on carbohydrates and rich in proteins. I’ve used quite a few, and with all the essential and vital nutrients added that I tend to forget to add, this can be a convenient alternative to a full meal by providing long lasting energy without compromising on the nutrient value. Remember that by eating plenty of protein, it will help your body keep your muscle to fat ration where it should be.
Hunger Caps with Saffrom
I’ve been reading about these a LOT lately. They have an ingredient called Satiereal® Saffron Extract that is supposed to help satisfy your cravings. I haven’t tried it yet, but it’s on my list. If you’ve tried them let me know!
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is one of the most important Vitamin that is required for the growth and repair of tissues in your body. It promotes maintenance and repair of cartilage, teeth and bone. It also serves as a powerful anti-oxidant that neutralizes the free radicals and supports the immune system. If you’re skipping those citrus drinks because they are high in sugar, be sure to take some added C.
Calcium
I’ve been doing a lot of research and everything that I’ve been reading points to adding at LEAST 3 servings of calcium to your diet, as long as it’s low fat. I’m lactose intolerant, so it’s Calcium supplements for me (besides my doctor told me that I HAVE to take them every day as I age anyway).
Omega-3’s
It sounds counter-productive to be eating something fatty when that’s what you’re trying to lose. FORGET ALL THAT and eat your salmon or take an Omega-3 supplement daily. I’m telling you….it will HELP.
BTW, I purchase my supplements at Puritan’s Pride. Not only am I an ambassador for them, but they have the best prices and I have been shopping with them for a LOT longer than I’ve been blogging.
- My fave protein drink –Whey Protein for Her (chocolate of course) – I add either a banana or some peanut butter to get rid of the whey flavor.
- Hunger Caps
- The Vitamin C supplement that I use — OK, I use a multi-vitamin with EXTRA C because it’s chewable and it’s a treat (that way I don’t forget) – Alive
- My Calcium supplement – Calcium Magnesium w/D
- The Omega-3’s my doctor suggested: I take the EXTRA STRENGTH as I had 2 doctors tell me to up my intake (you may need less) – Omega-3

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is excellent blog. A fantastic read. I will certainly be back.

Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbor were just preparing to do a little research on this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I am very glad to see such great info being shared freely out there.
