Six Perfect Girls’ Nights In

We all love date night with our partners, but you know what else is important? Date night with your girls. Here are six perfect parties for you to throw at home for your best friends.

A Painting Party

Why not try a painting party? The best thing about them is that you don’t have to be a good artist. In fact, it may even be better if you aren’t. Turn on a Bob Ross video, and paint along with the master himself, and you’ll find out that you may actually be a better painter than you thought you were. If you’d rather do your own thing, that’s great too! Buy a bunch of supplies from a cheap store or online so your friends can add all the glitter and sparkles to their art that they want.

A Wine And Cheese Party

If you’re feeling extremely classy and elegant, then a wine and cheese party is the way to go. Get everyone to bring a bottle of wine and some cheese that you can sample, and lay it out on plates. At a normal wine-tasting, people tend to spit their mouthfuls of wine into buckets, but if you don’t want to waste your Cabernet Sauvignon that’s totally fine. Just make sure that everyone takes a cab home!

A Book Club

If you’d like a little more intellectual stimulation in your life, a book club is the way to go. Choose a title a month before the party and read it carefully – make sure you get to the end or you might be spoiled! It’s a good idea to make notes on your thoughts so that you remember what to say. Provide snacks and maybe some wine so you can all discuss the book together.

A Nostalgia Party

Think back to when you met your pals for the first time, and go back to those times – if you were in high school, watch a movie together that you all watched then, and get out photo albums to relive your happiest memories and your worst hairstyles. You could do makeovers inspired by the looks in the photo albums and eat your favorite snacks from way back in high school – you’ll be laughing together in no time.

A Spa Night

None of us ever seem to have time to relax, so a spa night with your pals is the best way to go. Put slices of cucumber on your eyes, buy Korean sheet masks to cool down your inflamed faces, and paint each other’s toenails in bright colors that you’d never usually choose. Go out of your comfort zone a little!

A Clothing Swap

If you have a load of clothes that you no longer want, it’s time for a clothing swap. Make sure they’re all washed and in good condition, and then all of you should lay your things out together before switching them so you’ve got some perfect new-to-you clothes. Anything that doesn’t get picked can go in a donation bag.

No matter how busy your life may be, it’s always worth catching up with your best friends.
