Double duty or multi-purpose – you judge

IMG_2500

Ben’s back home…STILL! I thought he was moving in for just a couple of months to pay off his bills, but it has begun to feel like he’ll be here for a long, long, time. Mr. S is thrilled having him here and I’m happy that he’s actually making a small dent in what he owes.

CRAMPED

When he moved in he took over the office because of the size of it, and I moved the office into TWO rooms PLUS a storage unit. I’d always wanted a vanity (I’m such a girl), and I had built a simple DIY Sauder Writing Table thinking it would be a great vanity in the bedroom as we had an empty space (and I had a spare mirror). Little did I know that Ben would be taking over one of my desks as his own.

NEEDLESS TO SAY

After moving the desk into the room it became just THAT. But, subconsciously I must have REALLY wanted that vanity, because yesterday, when I looked over at my desk I noticed that I had placed a mirror, tweezers and a number of beauty products on it along with my notebooks and office equipment.

My Double Duty Desk is Multi-Tasking as a Vanity

and frankly I’m OK with that. I figure that EVENTUALLY when Ben moves back out on his own, I’ll FINALLY get my vanity. Then again, at only $59.99 and about an hour of my time, I can have BOTH!

Hmmm….I need a table in the entry hall…

Looks like I’ll be spending that extra money I have when he moves out (food costs) on a FEW new pieces of Sauder furniture.

And here I was smiling at the thought of you having a mirror on your desk!
