Lotion or cream?

I often wonder which is better and WHY? Lotion or cream?

So, I put two of the same companies products to the test this morning. I honestly didn’t know WHICH I’d like better.

Carmex Healing Lotion                  vs.                   Carmex Healing Cream

With the lotion on my right hand, I rubbed it in.  I found it to be light, yet still emollient, with just a trace of a clean, fresh scent. Not at ALL greasy, it was felt great for everyday use.  My feeling is that this would be a good product to maintain soft skin.

  • Daily use will help protect skin and keep dryness away
  • Rich healing ingredients, including Aloe and Vitamin E, nourish and moisturize skin
  • Absorbs fast for a non-greasy feel; has a light, pleasant scent

While I like it, my skin tends toward EXTREMELY dry, mostly because it is exposed year to the sun in Florida year round.

On my left hand I tried the Carmex Healing Cream. I immediately noticed a HUGE difference between this and the lotion. It’s much heavier and is HIGHLY concentrated. While it took a bit longer to absorb into my skin, the difference was quite dramatic. My dry flaky skin looked felt soft and smooth.

Basically the difference between the Carmex Healing Lotion and Cream is – HOW DRY IS YOUR SKIN?

For me, the Carmex Healing Cream won this challenge HANDS DOWN (sic).

  10. I have loved carmex for years. I started when i worked at the air port in 1996. And used it every sence. Love Carmex.

  32. I’ve always used Carmax for our chapped lips in the summer and winter. I’ve never tried their other types of lotions but would love too!
