Discover Adventure!
Look at a map of Florida, and you’ll see that from my house in the Southeast of Florida, those would loosely be the directions to Gulf County, FL. Of course the drive over can be an adventure, and isn’t that what vacations should be? I know that when we travel, we always try to make each trip different, to explore places we’ve never seen before, to get out on the water and find a starfish the size of a serving platter, to challenge ourselves to become immersed in the destination.
Gulf County
It’s easy when you are visiting the undisturbed natural beauty in Gulf County. Wide-open spaces, plenty of places to hike, dive, snorkel and even camp out means that every day brings something completely different and new. It’s easy to do when the locals are just as passionate and in love with their home as you are. With 43 miles of coastline, Gulf County is tucked into Florida’s panhandle….an area undisturbed, with nature that surrounds you at every turn.

Join the locals who enjoy adventure as much as you do. The GCFL Adventure Guide welcomes you with open arms as the guides share their insider tips to exploring their unique corner of Florida. Each month new guides tell their FAVORITE things to see and do in Gulf County. From the Gulf of Mexico, the pristine, saltwater St. Joseph Bay, Indian Pass Lagoon, the Gulf County Canal, the Intracoastal Waterway, the Apalachicola Bay and river basin (a brackish mix of both) to the freshwater of the Dead Lakes and Chipola River the water meets the shore offering wildlife and adventure to enjoy.
It’s never the same twice
That’s just how mother nature designed it. Each kayak or paddleboard expedition booked at Daly’s Watersports will bring new fish, birds and people to discover. Formed organically at a “balanced” pace to preserve nature and culture, Gulf County offers something for anyone wanting to commune with nature. With pet friendly beaches to explore, we can even bring Clem the bull-terrier along. I’d love to gather the entire family and stay in a beach house from Serenity Beach Rentals, making memories.
