As a transplant to South Florida from New England there are a few things that I really miss.
- The Italian restaurants on Federal Hill in Providence
- The Boston waterfront – shopping and dining
- Broadway, The Met and the ABT – a train ride to the city for great theater
Today I learned (thanks to a PR rep who reached out to me) that I can see LIVE STREAMING concerts, ballet, talks, theater at a theater that’s within driving distance from me. To say that I’m excited is an understatement. You’ll have to check to see if there are event at theaters near you, but to get you as excited as I am – here’s an incredible concert that’s coming this month
The Goat Rodeo Sessions Live – featuring Yo-Yo Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile
When: January 31
Time: 7:30pm – ET/ 6:30pm CT/ 8:00pm MT/PT/HI/AK
This exclusive concert event will be broadcast LIVE from the House of Blues® Boston and brings together four string virtuosos: world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma, legendary Bluegrass fiddler Stuart Duncan, acclaimed bassist Edgar Meyer, mandolin wizard Chris Thile and guest vocalist Aoife O’Donovan. While each artist is a prominent figure in his own music sphere, they have come together as a unified ensemble on a most remarkable and organic cross-genre project. The music feels both new and familiar – it’s composed and improvised, uptown and down home, funky and pastoral and above all, uniquely American.

My only questions is: I wonder if you dress to see a concert in a movie theater like you would at a live performance?
