Are you surprised?
While I totally subscribe to my “Champagne Living” style of life, and believe that you can’t or shouldn’t wait until it’s too late to begin living the way you’ve always wanted to, there are and will always be places that I want to visit, things that I want to learn to do, and people that I’d love to meet.
Meet my bucket list
I’ve lived in Paris, but have always dreamed about spending a summer in the Loire Valley. It’s not money that’s keeping me from doing it (since renting an apartment in Amboise is less than half of what I’d pay for a summer rental here). It’s a timing issue, as I’m waiting for my brother to retire and come with me.
With all of the traveling that I’ve done, I’ve never actually HAGGLED in a marketplace. Not REAL haggling in a REAL market (straw markets don’t count). I want to go to a Turkish or Moroccan Bazaar and see JUST how low I can get that perfect rug to bring back to the mansion.
From learning to be a wine expert, to becoming fluent in French, there are SO many things that I still want to do, and while I’m most certainly crossing them off of my list, it seems that for each one that I do, there are two more that I still want to do.
Bufferin wants to help cross those items off of those lists. To demonstrate (and keep those goals in front of me), they provided me with an actual bucket, clothespins to write my individual list items on and some Bufferin to help ease the day to day headaches, the sore muscles from exploring new places, and the little things that seem to pop up when I’m far from home. It’s one of the must-bring items for when I travel, because you just never know when you’ll need it (and having been out in a rainforest I can tell you that there’s no Walgreens or Walmart to pick up a bottle.
So, how does this whole bucket list thing work?
After adding my items to a clothespin, and clipping it on the outside of the bucket, I remove them and toss them INSIDE when I’ve achieved my goal of completely the item on my list. The visual is a fun way to remind yourself to go out and just DO IT and LIVE THE LIFE YOU DREAM.
To help, Bufferin is giving away the opportunity to win the opportunity to cross an item off of their bucket list by giving a $1,000 Amex Gift Card and a full-sized bottle of Bufferin to three winners who go to the Bufferin facebook page and share their bucket list items (winners chosen on Feb. 28, March 7 and March 14, 2014). Winners will be announced on the Bufferin Facebook page.
