I wear both contact lenses as well as glasses. I’d say that half of my photos have glasses and half have them on my head. I’m at that stage in life where I need help with both distance AND close up…meaning BIFOCALS. While I just admitted that to YOU, I still have a difficult time accepting that fact. My lenses are what they call multi-focal, meaning I’m supposed to be able to see both distance and close up with them. Frankly, I end up wearing reading glasses (YUP, OLD LADY READING GLASSES) when I wear them. So, I always have glasses with me anyway.
The OTHER reason that you’ll usually see me with glasses is that as I’ve gotten older, I’ve had a bit more difficulty with my eyes drying out, getting itchy and just UNCOMFORTABLE. I’m assuming that it’s from getting less sleep than I used to (gotta love menopause), although with the Bio-Identical hormones that I’m using, I am sleeping more now. From the moment that I put my lenses in, my eyes would feel dry and uncomfortable.
Biotrue is inspired by the biology of your eyes™. It goes beyond cleaning by being the only* solution to bring together three bio-inspired innovations:
* Has a lubricant found naturally in your eyes
* Matches the pH of healthy tears
* Keeps certain beneficial tear proteins active
Biotrue works like your eyes to provide you with the health and comfort your eyes deserve, helping to make lens wear easier on your eyes.
I was recently sent some BioTrue by Bausch and Lomb to try. Check out my LIVE review (first time I’m using them) above. I wrote this review while participating in a Mom Central Consulting blog tour on behalf of Bausch + Lomb Biotrue. I received a Biotrue sample and a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.

Great review!! I have a bottle of Bio-True and hadn’t tried it yet.
And I’m with you on the reading glasses…Nothing like getting all pretty and dressed up for a night out…then having to pull out the reading glasses for the menu! Kinda blows the illusion right out of the water!!

Thanks for the great review. I experience all of the same problems that you talked about. It is a shame and waste of money for my contacts to sit in my medicine cabinet not being worn. I will certainly give Biotrue a try.
