Sprucing up the lanai

B’s apartment is adorable. He moved in last month and his fiancé finally arrived last week.  He decorated using the gift card that I had won at Ikea’s social media challenge and took some things that I wanted to get rid of from the mansion….including our old ugly outdoor funiture. As you can see we have a large screened in patio and only had a small wrought iron bistro set. I brought it with me from our last place with the intention of replacing it. That was almost four years ago, and it took B moving from RI to FL for me to get rid of the old set.

I’m not sure that I want the same uncomfortable wrought iron set that I had, but am looking for something to create an extra living room under the stars. I may not even bother with a table and chairs at all, but would rather have an “L” shaped sofa that sits a larger crowd along with a fire pit table and a few end tables to put drinks on. Maybe something like this…

and this…

I’m leaning towards something that’s actually COMFORTABLE especially after having to sit on that uncomfortable wrought iron. I can myself reclining in front of that firepit with my laptop and a nice glass of wine, keeping you updated on the latest in Champagne Living. Other than those two red chairs that are usually in the yard, I’ll be starting from scratch.

My question for you is, how would YOU decorate my patio?
