- What to bring with you
- How to clean a dorm room QUICKLY when you’re friends (or parents) are about to show up.
- What are the biggest regional TRENDS at your school
- How to prevent getting sick (especially living in a dorm with so many others)
- Freshman Orientation
- and for MY part – Reminders of what your MOM HAS to say before you go

I remember VERY WELL that first day of college for “B” as he was moving into a dorm directly across the street from the dorm that I stayed in back when I went to school there. Meeting the kids for the first time, who would end up being his best buds for years to come was a lot of fun, and I must say that I was impressed by their willingness to help us schlep everything inside and up the stairs.
This can be a stressful time for both parent and child. Make it a little easier on yourself by learning from those of us who have gone through the experience ourselves.
