We received a Solar Breeze NX to review. Opinions are that of Zippy and the Champagne Living staff.
Many people in northern climates enjoy having a warm area to go to when the temperatures in their home state drop. We call them snowbirds, and they have homes in states like sunny Arizona or Florida. With all of that warm weather, it only makes sense to have a pool to cool off in, but how exactly do snowbirds take care of their swimming pool when they are gone to their northern homes during the summer time? Rather than hiring someone to maintain a swimming pool on a daily or weekly basis, we use robotic equipment to maintain them.
Solar Breeze makes pool cleaners that can skim a pool on a daily basis. That can give all of us snowbirds a reason to be thankful, whether we’re just staying in the area and don’t want to skim the pool ourselves, or it’s time to spend time with family and friends up north during the spring, summer, and autumn months.
Why is it important to skim a pool?
People who have a pool probably already know this, but swimming pools collect leaves, pollen, and other forms of debris. Within a few hours, that debris falls and settles on the bottom of the pool. That debris collects bacteria that will cause algae growth in a pool. A Solar Breeze robotic pool skimmer will collect that debris to keep your pool sparkling clean.
How do Solar Breeze pool cleaners do this?
This pool cleaner operates off of solar energy, which means that there is no need to recharge through any other energy source. Not only is this great for the environment, but it also ensures that it will continue to clean the pool even when we snowbirds fly north for extended periods of time.
Snowbirds might be concerned that keeping a pool crystal clear and free from debris and algae growth is a problem, but with a pool cleaner, it’s actually quite manageable.
