in getting the word out about ending hunger for MY generation and older. Did you realize that much of today’s aging population struggles to put food on the table everyday? Many of us have such high medical bills that we’re faced with the decision between buying medication that helps keep us well and buying groceries.
The new campaign supports Drive to End Hunger, AARP and AARP Foundation’s nationwide effort to end hunger among older Americans by calling on people of all ages to donate time, money or food to local hunger relief organizations.
“Many older Americans are trying to make ends meet by eating cheaper, less healthy foods or skipping meals altogether,” says Rachael. “The issue of hunger in America is very important to me. This is a problem we can solve if we all work together. But we have to start now.”
