I’m going to take an educated guess here and assume that each and every one of us has a story about losing a loved one to cancer. I have many, but the one that affected me the most was losing my mother. She was only 55 years old when she lost her battle with breast cancer. This was 15 years ago and although great strides have been made, there is still NO CURE for this deadly disease.
If you’re a fan of country music (and even if you’re NOT) – Toby Keith will be performing at the Academy of Country Music Awards Sunday, April 18 at 7 PM Central/8 PM Eastern to benefit Stand Up to Cancer and Lifting Lives (the charity of the ACM). Toby will be performing his song “Cryin’ for Me (Wayman’s Song)” live on the ACMs as a tribute to his friend, Wayman Tisdale, who passed away on May 15, 2009 due to complications from bone cancer.
