That’s right – in only 2 weeks I’m down 7.5 lbs. and I’m out of the 140’s. For a post-menopausal woman with an incredibly slow metabolism this is just AMAZING.
Week #2 on Nutrisystem was a LOT easier than week one. I’m over the hunger issue and my body has adjusted to eating a different quantity of food at each meal. For a binger like me that is HUGE. Not only do I no longer wake up hungry, but LAST NIGHT for the first time in YEARS I didn’t feel like snacking as I relaxed. My usual modus operandi is to eat mindlessly from about 8:00pm until bedtime. I thought that it was hunger, or stress…turns out it was nothing more than habit (and a very bad one at that).
One of the MOST important tools that I’ve been using is the Nutrisystem app on my phone. I have the HTC Evo 4G, so it’s android based, but they also offer the app for both iPhone and Blackberry phones. Because my phone is always with me, on the go…at home…visiting…events and travel, I’m able to keep a constant check and
It means that there’s no more FORGETTING if I grab something on the run, not remembering to log my water, etc. I also love that each time I log food in, I can see the calorie, fat and %of daily values. This way if I need to dine out without my Nutrisystem, I have a good idea of where I stand in terms of allotted calories left for the day.
