My grandmother used to drink Nescafé instant coffee. I can still remember hearing the tea kettle whistle and watching her scoop out her instant coffee with a teaspoon and stir it as she smelled the coffee rising from the cup. She always took her first gulp and said “ahhhhh,” like it was a moment of relaxation for her.
I grew up on brewed coffee. I started with an electric percolator and worked my way through drip, french press and on to one of those coffee makers that make a single cup at a time. Instant coffee was for my grandmother NOT ME!
But now there’s a new wave of instants that are NOT MY GRANDMOTHER’S INSTANT COFFEE. Nescafé Taster’s Choice offers a lot of flavor in a little packet.
I travel A LOT and one of my biggest complaints is that the hotel rooms are never stocked with enough coffee to get me through my morning. I’m a 3 cup in the morning girl, and unless I’m opting to *GASP* have decaf, then if I’m LUCKY there are 2 pods stocked with the tiny little coffee pot (and if I’m sharing a room…that’s 2 pods too little). I’ve taken to bringing Nescafé’s single serving packets along with me when I travel. It’s EASY to just heat up water in those little pots (or have them drip water in the pod machines) and I don’t have to worry about housekeeping not stocking enough.
Nescafé offers a variety of 5 different coffees in packets. While in the morning I LOVE my 100% Columbian (and YES, you can get that in their single serving packet), I might want a vanilla flavored coffee as I sit on the balcony of my hotel room overlooking the ocean in the evening, so I always bring some of those with me as well.
With these great choices ~
- House Blend
- 100% Columbian
- French Roast
- Decaf
- Vanilla
- Hazelnut
It’s easy to find a favorite! Not only that, but they’re so much LESS EXPENSIVE (at $3.49 a 20 -22 count box) than the “famous” coffee house brand (at $9.95 a 12 count box). I just love it when I find a product that makes my life on the road (or in my stateroom) that much easier and saves me money to be able to buy the IMPORTANT things (like jewelry, clothes and travel).
