7-Days-2010-Front-Cover1

I can’t complain. Since beginning Champagne Living almost five years ago, I’ve had so many incredible opportunities, made great friends with both bloggers and readers, and have had this outlet to write (something that I hadn’t done in over 25 years). I’d always traveled, but now I get to do so with new people, and to locales that I wouldn’t have even considered before. It’s allowed me to stretch my wings and blossom at nearly 60 years old.

I am neither RICH nor FAMOUS in the traditional sense. My “mansion” while WAY too large for two, isn’t worth millions, and while we’re not struggling to pay for groceries, I’m not dripping in diamonds either. Then again, I’m not sure that that’s where I’d even WANT to be. You see, I’m VERY happy being who I am RIGHT NOW.

As I was reading Paul McKenna’s book Change Your Life in 7 Days, I realized, that for the MOST part, I’m pretty content.

My life is FAR FROM PERFECT.

The part of life at the mansion that goes on behind closed doors (Mr. S’ eye-rolling when I announce I’m off on yet another trip, Clem’s stomach that always seems to be upset, and LOTS more) can be a challenge, but then again, I’ve always been one who loves a good challenge.

I believe, and have ALWAYS believed that we were all set-up in life with basically the same things

  • a body
  • free will
  • the ability to learn new things

As I was growing up, I always heard TWO things from my parents

  1. Dad: Dare to be different
  2. Mom: You can do ANYTHING you want in life, if you follow the instructions.

THOSE were the family MOTTOS.

How do you LEARN how to become more confident, happier, and powerful?

Paul McKenna (author of dozens of self-help and hypnosis books/programs) has put all of the techniques together to help you become more prosperous and happy in SEVEN days. By combining reading ONE chapter and listening to his accompanying hypnosis CD & DVD, you’ll learn VERY specific techniques for how to change your thinking as well as make BEHAVIOR chances that have helped millions think and act more creatively, positively, and with confidence.

This is not my first run-in with Mr. McKenna

I used his I Can Make you Thin to lose weight in the past, and I’ve been DYING to pick up I Can Make you Sleep (my biggest challenge since going through menopause). His approach can be a little “put it out into the universe” patter that some people find ridiculous. While I want to say that this approach is a bit simplistic, the truth of the matter is that it works (so, laugh all you want). When you change your thinking patterns, it’s so much easier to change your behavior, and as we all know

Changing your behavior as well as the way you PERCEIVE the world around you is what makes life “work”

7-Days feels like such a short time

But by focusing on ONE project a day, you can develop the habit of change.

Day 1: Who are you really?

  • Discover your real potential to become who you REALLY want to be.

Day 2: A User’s Manual for Your Brain

  • Get control over your emotions so that they don’t get in the way of your progress.

Day 3: The Power of a Positive Perspective

  • It’s all in how you LOOK at life, and by reframing your outlook/mind, change becomes easier

Day 4: Healthy Foundations

  • A healthy body, mind, and spirit are the cornerstones of creating a great life.

Day 5: Creating Money

  • Millionaires have certain behavior and thought processes that make them rich. Learn (and practice) the same secrets.

Day 7: Happily Ever After

  • Just like my mom used to say, all you need to do is FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS and you can learn anything…even if it’s the secrets of happiness for the rest of your life.

While I can’t change Mr. S or Clem, I can certainly change my response to their behaviors, and THAT is MY goal in changing my life. Thanks to Paul McKenna, I’m on my way there.

I received a copy of this book/CD/DVD for review. All opinions are strictly my own.

Change Your Life in 7 Days  is available at Amazon.com and booksellers nationwide.
