My #7DayJourney with Seventh Generation

I’ve made it a point to go kicking and screaming into sixty. With only eleven months to go before hitting the big 6-0 I realize that I have not had to have any botox, I’ve not had plastic surgery, and the only procedure that I’ve had done is having those age spots removed (that seemed to appear the moment I entered Florida). Would I have the follow through to do the Seventh Generation 7 Day Journey?

While I’m an all-out kinda gal, and I love the glitz and glam, but over time I’m sure that doing things like going to bed without removing my makeup, remembering to moisturize after showering, etc. will take their toll. So, I’ve made a commitment to change the LITTLE things that could impact me a LOT sooner than later.

Just ONE week ago today, I replaced my soaps, facial & body washes and body lotion with Seventh Generations  line of products that are made from plant & mineral based materials rather than the harsh chemical based products that I’d been using.

Sometimes a simple change is the best and so I followed Seventh Generations 7 Day Journey.

Day 1:Begin– I replaced all of my old products with the new Seventh Generations line. The facial cloths sit on the vanity, a bar of peppermint soap in the bathtub, along with the lavender body wash, the sweet smelling orange hand wash on my sink, and Seventh Generations’s chamomile sensitive care lotion on my desk for easy access.

Day 2: Reconsider – I realized that here I was driving a hybrid & recycling and had never considered what goes ON my body.

Day 3: Simplify – It was easy with these products and rather than my mountain of cleansers I kept it simple. I was afraid that my skin would dry out using a more “natural” product, but in reality the opposite happened. It’s time to toss out the old today!

Day 4: Refresh – My routine was now four days in and I feel great about it. I took a little time and actually began my yoga program as well.

Day 5: Cherish – It’s less than a week in and I have a new appreciation for a more natural approach to beauty. My skin is beginning to look healthier.

Day 6: Appreciate – Did you see my facebook update? Basically it extolled how lucky I feel to be able to do what I love every day.

Day 7: Share – TODAY I get to share what I’ve learned with you and hope that you in turn take the #7DayJourney

Seventh Generation wants to get you started on your journey to natural beauty.
