Can you imagine going on Safari? I mean really roughing in the wild with an open jeep, no makeup, and no air conditioning? While the fantasy of exploring the plains of Africa are appealing, the reality might be very different. So why did I agree to go on a safari this week?
Perhaps it was the fact that the safari was taking place here in the Loxahatchee at Lion Country Safari, where one simply drives through in their own automobile and gets to experience over 900 animals up close (as you can clearly see by my pictures). Or maybe it was the chauffeur driven limousine that is decked out in Truly Nolen‘s trademark mouse ears and whiskers that pushed me over the edge. Whichever it was – it was a BLAST.
The interesting part was seeing how the animals reacted when they saw this bright yellow limo with ears, whiskers and a tail come into their territory. Most approached with curiosity, only to run away when they realized that the car was not one of them. One of only two Mouse Limo’s in the country, this fun mode of transportation was created to celebrate Truly Nolen’s 50th Anniversary. If you live in any of the territories that Truly Nolen operates their pest control company, you’ve probably seen their mousecars on the road.
I wonder if now that I’ve conquered the Lion Country Safari in a MouseLimo, am I ready for Kenya?
Also at Lion Country Safari, you’ll find a walk-through amusement park, area’s to feed the animals, and safari camping.

I participated in the Mouselimo Safari as a guest of Truly Nolen and Lion Country Safari. All opinions are strictly my own.

The way you’re standing there makes it look like you’re wearing the mouse ears from the limo!
That rhino seems to be leaking a stream of snot from its nostrils and I’m afraid of that creature. However, I would TOTALLY go on that adventure if I were in the area.
Pretty cool!
