Help end hunger with a great meal

Mmm….nothing says summer better than going out for BBQ or a nice juicy steak, and nothing says helping others than the AARP Foundation’s Drive To End Hunger. Luckily, I’ve found a great way to do BOTH and not have to clean up the mess after we’re done eating, PLUS get cash back.

WIN-WIN-WIN-WIN

You see the AARP® Credit Card from Chase not only gives you cash back at restaurants but also donates to the AARP Foundation’s Drive To End Hunger each time you steal away to go out to dinner.

14 bones

14 Bones

Just down on Rte 1 in Vero Beach is one of our favorite spots for BBQ. With a menu that’s got everything from a simple steak for Mr. S on his low sodium diet, to a full rack of finger lickin’ baby backs smoked to perfection and served with coleslaw and a baked potato, 14 Bones even has a DRIVE THROUGH for when guests arrive with no notice (and we’ve got an empty refrigerator).

How it all works

Each time you go out to dinner at your favorite restaurant and pay with your AARP credit card from Chase,  Chase will donate $0.10 to the AARP Foundation’s Drive To End Hunger, up to a total of $1.1 million.

Having the AARP Credit Card from Chase is a great way to help fight hunger and put food on the tables of Americans 50+.  The goal is VERY much in reach, as Chase has already donated $637,633 (and that number was as of May 2016). I love the fact that by carrying the card in my wallet and using it when I go out to dinner helps them reach their goal.

What’s in it for me? Not only is Chase/AARP  taking steps to feed those who are hungry now, while also developing long-term, sustainable solutions that proactively address the root causes of hunger among those 50 and older. BUT, they also give me unlimited cash back rewards…..all with no annual fee.

Earn unlimited cash back rewards

  • 3% Cash Back rewards on purchases at restaurants and gas stations
  • 1% Cash Back rewards on all other purchases
  • No Annual Fee
  • $100 Bonus Cash Back after you spend $500 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening

Wouldn’t you like to help while getting cash back rewards too?
