Finds for the mansion: Corelle Boutique

corelle 2 CollageThis is definitely NOT your my mother’s Corelle.

I’ve got to be honest, when I think of Corelle I actually have a warm fuzzy feeling for that gold butterfly pattern that I ate most of my meals on growing up. Today, it’s very kitschy and I STILL love it. As a matter of fact, I’m cleaning out the mansion on the beach before the new owners take possession of it next week and found the set of the dishes high up in the cupboard. I’ve been considering bringing them to the mansion, until YESTERDAY when I attended the unveiling of Corelle’s new Boutique collection at the beautiful Mondrian Hotel on South Beach.

The setting was perfect, and what better way to learn about Corelle’s crossover dinnerware that wears as good as it always did for everyday, but is beautiful enough to replace the good china for entertaining than by enjoying a fabulous lunch on the new Swept pattern while dining outside by the Mondrian pool that overlooks the water. PERFECT.

Just like the ALL of Corelle’s dishes, these are lightweight and thin, for easy stacking (they take so  much less room in the cabinet), are break and chip resistant, and keep a beautiful new look for a long, long time.

I have the beautiful square “Cherish” pattern, shown in the top right photo

  • Cherish Embossed 16-pc Square Set includes 4 each:  10-1/4″ Dinner Plates, 8-3/4″ Lunch Plates, 22-oz. Soup/Cereal Bowls and 11-1/2-oz. Porcelain Mugs
  • Dishwasher safe for long lasting patterns
  • Microwave and oven use for versatility
  • Patterns won’t wash, wear or scratch off
  • Break and chip resistance for carefree durability
  • Stackability for cupboard space efficiency
  • Corelle® durable, lightweight Vitrelle® dinnerware is made in the U.S.A.
  • 3 Year Limited Warranty

If you prefer round, Swept with it’s elegant edges that remind me of a day at the beach is also available.

  • Swept Wide Rimmed Embossed 16-pc Set includes 4 each: 10-3/4″ Dinner Plates, 8-1/2″ Lunch Plates, 18-oz. Soup/Cereal Bowls and 14-oz. Porcelain Mugs
  • Dishwasher safe for long lasting patterns
  • Microwave and oven use for versatility
  • Patterns won’t wash, wear or scratch off
  • Break and chip resistance for carefree durability
  • Stackability for cupboard space efficiency

Look for them at Kohl’s and other retailers. With Mother’s Day just around the corner, these would make a GREAT gift for mom.

I attended an event to premiere these dishes, as well as received a set and other gifts for my own use. Opinions are strictly my own.

I adore Corelle (old and new). It’s the one dish I can have in my kitchen that looks pretty and I know the kids won’t break.

I love our Corelle. We originally bought it for the kids, but the sizes and feel of the Corelle quickly made them our most used dishes. LOVE the new looks!

Love all especially The Cherish set of dishes. Last summer my teen son was out of state working. We had given him our old set of Corelle dishes boxed for the day he moves out. An employee, very young man working at the local KMart had lost everything in his apartment. I made a decision to donate my teens dishes and a few other items. Yes winning the contest would be giving back to a person who agreed we did the right thing. Wonderful company.

I’m going to have to look at these at the store. The break and chip resistance line caught my eye. My own dishes are in need of replacing. Thanks for the thorough description of a brand I have not previously considered.

My grandma had the green daisy Corelle dishes and I’m sure she probably has them tucked away somewhere. Those dishes have stood the test of time! I’ve had many, many sets of dishes in the last 15 years that haven’t, I love the Corelle is so dependable!
