I suppose that’s the chameleon in me. Coming from the world of art, it’s difficult to be just one thing. I tend to pull from the things that I love rather than be pigeonholed into one classification. Sometimes I’m wearing my classic Breton stripes and the next day I’ll be walking around in a plain white t-shirt, jeans, and a vintage kimono that I picked up in my travels. I like it best that way. Now that I am no longer a performing artist, I can use my body as a canvas. It seems to suit me well.
But, there are some pieces that cross-over
The simpler the clothes, the more shoes, and other accessories make the statement. For example. I can put on a pair of Jack Rogers Classic Jack sandals with that gown that I found in an antique shop or with my Levi jeans (like I’m wearing today). That’s the beauty of owning a pair of these beautiful sandals. You can slip them on no matter WHAT you’re wearing.
Today I am relishing living in Florida. It’s a far cry from my days in Providence in winter when just getting to the car from the house would be an exercise in layering. Days like this make me want to celebrate and be outdoors and my Jack’s Flat Sandals are a wardrobe staple in nice weather like this.
Child of the 60s – in her 60s
I am a child of the 60s. I grew up protesting, creating, and living life on the edge. I fell in love with certain brands and there are so many that I still love today.
