Celtic Woman: Songs from the Heart – GIVEAWAY ADDED

Songs From The Heart will bathe you in sound and take you to places you never dreamed possible.
Now, my taste in music tends to run rather eclectic. I’m a fan of Patty Smith and The Ramones, but you’ll also catch me listening to Dvorak and Rachmoninoff, so it’s no surprise that I find this Celtic Woman album Songs From The Heart (from the PBS special of the same name), beautiful. The music on this CD is both from traditional as well as contemporary sources, yet this eclectic mix of music works.

If you’ve read some of my past reviews, you know that I usually DISLIKE compilations of music that have been recorded over and over.  In this case, I’ve made an exception, mostly because of the traditional style of this group of talented women.
If you’ve never listened to Celtic Woman, and you’re a fan of either Irish music, New Age music or LOVE Celtic folk – you’ll be an instant devotee of their haunting sound. Made up of four vocalists (Lisa Kelly, Chloe Agnew, Lynn Hilary and Alex Sharpe) along with a violinist (Mairead Nesbitt), Celtic Woman has been seen on such shows as Dancing With the Stars, etc. You can check them out on their upcoming PBS special.
