You’ve PLANNED on spending time with the kids while you’re at BlogHer. You’ll be attending sessions, private parties, swag suites and all sorts of cool stuff. You FINALLY have a few hours to spend with the kids and want to INDULGE in something that they just can’t get at home.
Here are a few things going on in and around the city during BlogHer that are extra special!
Kiddie Cruises are all inclusive activity-filled family events that take place on a boat ride along the Hudson. Sailing on the Queen of Hearts on select Sundays. They offer a TON of entertainment for the whole family at an affordable price for everyone. From face painting to arts & crafts to live children’s music, your child will be delighted.
A LIVE glow-in-the-dark musical adventure that parents will love too. With original music ranging from swing to R&B to Big Band – this is a blast from the splash! Save $9.50 on tickets with their Wednesday Web specials.
Amazon Voyage at the New York Hall of Science
Visitors will travel through seven unique ports-of-call while learning about the incredible biodiversity of the Amazon River. Discover the “Seven Perils of the Amazon,” including the electric eel, piranha and the infamous anaconda. Each stop focuses on one of the seven perils and a common type of Amazon terrain. Experience the zap of an electrifying eel in the “Flooded Forest,” learn how catfish adapt in the “Deep Channel” and meet other interesting and sometimes dangerous water-dwelling creatures in the piranha area.
Don’t forget to visit the wonderful Science Playground while you’re there (pictured above)

I did! I think my little ones will love it. I'm only worried about how to get there – and whether the subway or a taxi would be smarter/economical.
