A Note to my Younger Self

Thank you CreditRepair.com for sponsoring this post. CreditRepair.com’s team understands that a credit score is not just a number; it’s a lifestyle.

Dear Zippy,

Yes, you have finally “made it,” but did anyone ever tell you how to spend, save, invest it once it was all in your hands? I’ve watched you pull out that credit card time after time, spending more than you have in the bank. I hear you justifying that it’s okay because “you’ll have enough in a few months” to pay it back. I watched you buy a house when you didn’t have 20% to put down and then take out loans to add on a porch and an in-law apartment. I saw you have medical issues and no longer be able to work. I’ve seen you ignore the collection phone calls, only to go through bankruptcy and come out the other side with credit report issues that some 20+ years later were never removed from your report.

Looking back, there is so much I should have told you.

  • That you really should have lived within your means
  • That saving a little every week or month would have set you up to prepare for the lean times
  • That you should enjoy what you have.
  • That you should have monitored your credit report so that those interest rates weren’t so high.
  • That you could have gotten those negative items that didn’t belong there OFF of your report
  • That you could have repaired your credit report a lot earlier than you did.

Hindsight is 20/20

I will tell you now that it’s never too late to take control. I know there are times that you wonder whether asking for help feels like you don’t know what you’re doing. STOP. I want you to know that there you don’t have to do this all by yourself. Asking for help from CreditRepair.com is a great way to kickstart your come-back and finally learn to manage your credit report. Credit repair can be hard, but calling CreditRepair.com is quite easy.

CreditRepair.com

I went through all of that, but it doesn’t mean that you have to follow in my footsteps. 2020 has been tough for so many of us, and while we look to the future, it’s hard to think that you should sweep your credit repair problems under the rug. Bad credit can follow you for a very long time, but it doesn’t have to. Get those unfair negative items off your report. “45% of your score is determined by items being reported to the credit bureaus by your creditors—your repayment history and credit inquiries.”

Don’t wait until you need a new car or find your dream home, only to find out that you can’t get a loan. CreditRepair.com can help challenge any questionable negatives on your credit report. They work with your creditors to verify any negative items they may be reporting and continually monitor your credit to make sure that any issues are taken care of quickly, to help you finally achieve your financial goals (like taking that cruise you’ve been putting off).   A note to my OLDER self In 6 months you will be feeling a LOT better about your credit situation. Why? Because you called CreditRepair.com and they helped clean up your credit report.
