Who said I’m not smart? Smart for Life

When it comes to dieting, I know what to do, but I just don’t do it. That’s not to say that I don’t start – I DO. I start over and over and over again. I’ve lost weight and gained it so many times that I’ve lost count. I know that it’s  not healthy to yo-yo like this, but after a while I just GET HUNGRY and start eating again.

I recently had the opportunity to try the Smart for Life and underWAY weight control products. I’ll be honest here and tell you that I didn’t try all of the products that they sent me, but I did try the Smart for Life Chocolate Chip cookies as well as the underWAY supplement drink.

Both of these products deliver HeroFiber (a soluble dietary fiber) that helps you stay feeling full by curbing your appetite. The fiber formula takes longer to absorb PLUS it slows down the absorption of things that you’ve already eaten, helping you feel fuller for a longer time.

I tried a few of the underWAY drinks and the nice thing is that they’re only 10 calories with 2 grams of carbs per serving. They also contains vitamins that are good for your heart. The unique ingredients stimulate your stomach, telling your brain you’ve consumed more calories that you really have.  HeroFiber, helps maintain normal levels of cholesterol, glucose and insulin that are already in the normal range.

Smart for Life are all natural, 60% organic products. They’re made for  snacking on-the-go, and are full of Omega-3 fatty acids and HeroFiber, with zero trans fat, again making you feel fuller, quicker.

They’ve developed a program where you eat  7-meals-per-day including 6 cookies or products, plus a balanced dinner. This allows your body to maintain steady blood sugar and glucose levels, and to burn more fat..  They also make soups, shakes, bagels, cereals, cupcakes, etc.

I tried them and YES they made me feel full and less likely to overeat. However, DON’T expect Oreo or Pepperidge Farm Milano’s here…these look and taste like a diet product. I got used to the flavor, but I’m not sure that I’d consider them a treat. Still, if you tend to overeat from hunger, these can be a great way to help lose those extra pounds.

A study was done at the Boca Raton Smart for Life Weight Management Center. Out of 46 subjects that visited and used a portion-controlled, protein-rich, low fat cookie with unique fiber technology, all subjects lost weight with the average being 13.1 pounds in 35 days.  Five subjects lost over 20 pounds in 35 days and 20 subjects lost over 15 pounds in the first 35 days.  The 46 participants lost a total of 601 pounds with one patient losing 38.7 pounds in 35 days.

If you’d like to try either of these programs, we’re offering a 10% off coupon code good through August 30

Zippy – Stopping by from the Summer Blog Tour. What do the drinks taste like? I haven't really liked diet drinks in the past.
