Silver-Platter Style

Unique gifts from the Orient – and a GIVEAWAY

I just love it when I find something a little unusual. Whether it be a luxurious gift for a friend, something special to treat myself or a piece of artwork to decorate my house with, there’s nothing like finding that ONE SPECIAL thing that captures your attention and screams THAT’S IT!

Earlier this week I was contacted by Good Orient about running a giveaway here on Champagne Living. To be honest, I’d never heard of them before – so before I said “YES” I wanted to make sure that they offered items that I thought you’d like. So, before responding to their e-mail I looked over their online catalog of Chinese gifts, clothing and home decor. I immediately KNEW that this was a very special place to shop.

Just take a look at their collection of scarves and shawls. I’m a hat person and a scarf person. Even in the heat of the summer here in Florida, you’ll find me with a light scarf around my neck. Maybe it’s from living in Paris years ago, or maybe it’s just that I think that scarves and shawls finish an outfit beautifully. Of course finding the PERFECT accent in the summer can be a bit of a challenge.

I think that I may have found the PERFECT summer accent. Picture this – you’re dressed in white linen with open sandals, but you need just a touch of color. The Flowering Spring Wind Shawl has an almost ethereal quality about it. The colors are a sherbet array of pink, green, yellow with a touch of blue and the softest white flower in the center. It’s a VERY romantic look. Amazingly, it’s under $18. So, this is one of those “special” luxuries that we can afford. It’s that one piece that’s unique.

GOOD ORIENT GIVEAWAY

PRIZE: ONE shawl or scarf of the winner’s choice with a value of up to $80.

I have a special love for anything Asian inspired whether it be home decor, jewelry, or clothes and accessories! So, visiting Good Orient was so much fun!! They have a stunning assortment of items, especially scarves and shawls. My favorite is the Small Floral Embroidery Pashmina Shawl—Pale Blue. Since it is summer this appealed to me as being light weight, fresh and breezy looking and of course will add that wonderful touch of glam or many of the outfits I wear this summer season. Thanks so much for the chance to enter.
