There’s something about dining out casually that’s so EASY. No reservations, no getting dressed up, and most of all NO COOKING. Sharing a date with your honey or going out with a girlfriend and catching up over dinner are some of my favorite things to do.
When we want something casual and consistent we quite often end up at a nearby Chili’s. We enjoy sitting at the high tops in the bar area….remember…this is casual day at the mansion.
Mr. S and I went to see The Social Network (the Facebook movie), and grab a quick meal at the Chili’s next to the movie theater just before I left for Blog World Expo last earlier last week. I wanted to check out their new Double Up on Flavor menu that I’d been hearing so much about lately.
This is a great new option that Chili’s is offering. For only $20 you can choose two full-size entrees from the special Double Up on Flavor menu and an appetizer to split. That was about the same as ONE MOVIE ADMISSION was.
I was actually surprised to see some of my favorites on the special menu. The choices for entrees range from the Quesadilla Explosion Salad (my fave) to a Basic Bacon Burger and even Baby Back Ribs. Mr. S and I decided to split an order of the fried cheese and Mr. S was in the mood for the Crispy Chicken Crispers and I tried the Margarita Grilled Chicken. YUM!!!!!
I love the fact that I can go out to dinner for LESS than it costs to cook. At $10 each I could eat at Chili’s a FEW times a week.
