It’s definitely time to get out of the house and shake off those winter doldrums. If you live in or around the NYC area you’re in for a real treat. Because it’s time for
Where you can see the BEST of Off-Broadway for only $20
For TWO WEEKS ONLY, from Monday, January 26 through Sunday, February 8, tickets for all 20at20 shows are only $20, starting 20 minutes before show time. Just go to the box office of the show you want to see 20 minutes before it begins and say, “20at20” and you’ll get your ticket to a real New York theater experience!
Here is your chance to catch up with shows you may have missed, get a sneak peek at the next big show, or revisit a favorite – all for only $20 each!
Since Off-Broadway has performances to fit everyone’s schedule, you can see more than one: on Saturday for example, you can see Gazillion Bubble Show at 11, Altar Boyz at 2, Forbidden Broadway at 4, The Fantasticks at 8, and Sleepwalk with Me at 10:00! Where else can you see five shows in one day, for less than the price of ONE BROADWAY TICKET?
With 20at20, you get the chance to see the next Avenue Q, A Chorus Line, In The Heights, Rent, Proof or Spring Awakening – before the prices go ‘uptown’. Be part of the New York “in” crowd and enjoy the original productions in the intimate environment that can only be found Off-Broadway.
Some of the shows participating in 20at20 include:
- The Fantasticks
- Altar Boyz
- Forbidden Broadway Goes to Rehab
- Sessions: A New Musical
- Stomp
- Emilie’s Voltaire
- and MANY, MANY MORE
As an added treat, if you see 7 Shows from 1/26/09-2/8/09, you will receive a FREE voucher for dinner for 2 at an area restaurant while supplies last! I looked over the list of restaurants and found:
- The Hard Rock Cafe
- Junior’s (yum – cheesecake)
- Two Times Square
- Heartland Brewery
- and more
Wouldn’t it be nice if programs like this happened ALL over the country? Just remember

Yet another reason for me to wish I lived in the NYC area!
I used to LOVE deals like that when I was a theatre student…

I know. Here I sit in South Florida, not caring that it’s warmer (sort of) than NY. I’d SO rather be going to the theatre than watching COPS on TV.
