Fun, Funky, Fashion with a little Tacky built in for good measure (depending on your sense of humor). Patterned socks have been around a long time for women, but other than the occasional argyle or striped sock men have not have the privilege (?) of donning a pair of quirky coverings for their tootsies.
Ben had the opportunity to try a pair of these socks recently – in the Boot Knife pattern and his first response when he pulled on a pair with the pattern of a knife in a sheath was “These make me feel like a bad ass.” I suppose that’s a good thing coming from a 27 year old, engaged manager of a CD store living the Empire Records life. Ben found them to be thin and comfortable (and he went on about his feet not sweating – which happens with bulkier socks). He even wore them to a semi-formal function to add a little curve to his classic ensemble. Unfortunately, because he was wearing trousers, no one could see them. Only Ben would want to roll up his pants to his knees to show them off.
While Ozone socks are made to be one size fits, all – Ben did have difficulty getting them over his ex-football player sized calves. My guess is that they’d fit the average calf easily.
Dad may not want to feel like a “bad ass” like Ben, there are certainly plenty of fun options to choose from on the Ozone Socks site including patters like
- Motorcycle Chain
- Grafitti
- Back Up (for the cowboy in him)
- Tartan Terror
- various stripes
- crazy argyles
Why buy dad the usual black socks or boring tie this year, when you can give his something that fits his personality a bit more?
Ozone Socks are available online and are currently running a 30% of sale on certain patterns.

Hey, isn’t that the first word you thought of when you saw them? ROFL Women have had the option of buying tacky, inappropriate accessories for many years…why not men as well?
