Summer is on its way
That means outside fun…except for those nasty mosquitoes and other pests that can turn a fun al fresco dining experience into a swatting and running match. You all know that I live in Florida, and love spending time outside. I found a solution to the constant spraying, nasty smelling candles, etc.
DynaTrap
The “new mansion” is being overhauled, and right now we’re working on the OUTSIDE of the house. The new outdoor furniture for the pool deck, the sprinkler system is being updated, and I’ve been using the grill outside every single night. I knew that I wanted the Dynatrap to keep the bugs away, but hate the look of the Dynatrap hanging from a tree, so I purchased a Shepard’s hook to actually fit into the garden area (I pulled it out slightly for the photo, because it really does mesh look like a lantern when it’s poked back into the foliage).
I am using the trap that protects up to a half acre, as I think my lot is about 100 X 100. I am using the trap that protects up to a half acre, as I think my lot is about 100 X 100. For larger yards, they make one that will protect an entire acre, and they also make an array of insect traps, all with NO PESTICIDES and all are ODOR FREE! It works by attracting all sorts of flying insects like wasps, moths, mosquitos, and biting flies, and traps them in the unit. You don’t hear any ZAP like with other bug traps, as they are pulled in by a powerful vacuum. Hanging and mounting hardware comes with each unit, allowing you to get creative with where and how you place it in your yard.
