With apologies to Gilbert and Sullivan, I’ve had this earworm all week of
For I’m called Little Butterball — dear Little Butterball,
Though I could never tell why,
But still I’m called Butterball — poor little Butterball,
Sweet Little Butterball I!
Yes, that’s right – every time it goes around in my head, I substitute Butterball for Buttercup. I’m thinking that maybe it’s the fact that there are only two weeks left until Thanksgiving and I’m thinking about that GREAT DINNER that we’re going to sit down to (or rather, that day of cooking that I’ll be doing all by myself this year).
As most of you know, this year I became one of the Butterball Bloggers and frankly I’m even more excited about Thanksgiving this year than I’ve been in years past. I’m armed with some GREAT NEW information about how to make this year the BEST Thanksgiving ever, thanks to my days at Butterball U.
Did you know that you can keep up with ALL of the Butterball Bloggers on the Butterball website? That’s right – you can check in to http://butterballblog.wordpress.com/ every day from now through Thanksgiving and learn some great ideas as to how each generation celebrates the holidays, with tips, recipes and MORE.
While you’re there, don’t forget to let me know you’ve visited by leaving me a comment, question or adding something that YOU do to make your holidays special.
PLUS – a little ADDED FUN!
Each of the Butterball Bloggers will have “office hours” on facebook some time between now and Thanksgiving. We’ll be answering your questions PERSONALLY on Facebook so come visit us on
