Call it laziness, call it forgetfulness, call it being just too busy….whatever it is, it’s no more than just another excuse not to take care of myself. You’d think that after being hit with that ton of bricks that is 62 (OMG, I can collect social security if I want to now), that I’d take it as a kick in the behind to get back to living a healthier lifestyle. Don’t get me wrong, there are things that I HAVE done this year like
- Give up soda
- Cut down on those white carbs (bye bye Italian sub)
- Find a new primary care doctor (went for my pre-visit testing this morning)
At least I’ve gotten started. But, there is this list….not a bucket list, but the list of things that I NEED to do to get my life back on track. When I first started blogging (in 2008) I wore a size 6, today I’m a 14. While I do get to travel to some magical lands, I’m also sitting in front of a computer not getting the exercise that I need, mindlessly munching, and thinking of the things that I “should be doing” but aren’t.

There are days that I think #LivingTheLife and others where #MassiveFailure crosses my mind (when you describe your life in hashtags you know it’s time for a break from social media). I know there are still things to do, so I’ve added a 4th to things I’ve done this week.
Taking my vitamins & supplements
It should be easy. I have coffee, I eat breakfast (the meal where I’m consciously eating healthy – before I lose control later in the day), and I…go to my office. Tossing back a couple (ok – a shovel full) of supplements should be part of the morning plan. But it wasn’t, at least not on a REGULAR basis.
I think the reasons that I put off taking my morning supplements was.
- I hate taking pills
- Pills can give me heartburn
- One pill…maybe, two, you’re pushing it, a handful…NO WAY
- I have to go out and buy them when I run out
- I feel like I’m taking medicine.
That was until…
Tespo came into my life
When I first opened the dispenser, I thought….this thing is as big as my coffee maker. Well, at least the REMINDER to take them is IN MY FACE. It was morning, I had filled the reservoir with water, popped in the women’s formula disc and pressed the on button. Tespo magic….
Just the fun of watching the shot glass whirl, twirl, and shake got me to want to use the Tespo for my supplements each morning. It’s like a floor show on my kitchen counter.
- I can drink my supplements all at once
- They taste like an orange flavored drink (one that I remember having as a kid….bringing back GOOD memories)
- No unnecessary fillers
- Nothing artificial, no GMO’s, and it’s vegetarian
- Sweetened with Stevia (just like I do in my morning coffee) – not sugar
- Premium supplement ingredients in their purest form (mixed with your own water)
- Pre-measured
- None of that upset stomach that you get from pills
- Easier absorption – liquids absorb nearly 70% better than those pills I hate taking – so I’m getting the FULL dosage
- One button and a drink (and it tastes good)
- They ship to you monthly…so you never have that “I forgot to get them” excuse
- Most importantly, I’m actually TAKING them now
Even Mr. S is taking his Vitamins
I received both the Women’s and Men’s formulas (you can see that they store easily in the side of the dispenser). They’ve also got a Children’s Formula, as well as one for Focus, another for Energy (bring it on), and soon there’ll be a Sleep formula (I’m pre-ordering this one….if you’re a reader you know how I struggle with post-menopausal insomnia).
It may not be January 1st
