I am no Martha Stewart or Gwyneth Paltrow. Truth be told, I can be a hot mess sometimes (and that may be an understatement). My laundry doesn’t always get folded right away, my skincare routine has been known to slip, and yes, there are days when dinner is more leftovers, whatever’s in the fridge or DoorDash, than a beautifully plated masterpiece (and I admit I have every food delivery app known to man in my phone).
That’s exactly why I’m writing these ritual pieces. They’re not just guides for you—they’re also reminders for me. Simple, doable resets that make life feel lighter, calmer, and a little more joyful. Because while I love a good aspiration moment, I’ve found that real life is about quick hits. It’s those little practices that keep us on track without adding stress.
Why Rituals?
Here’s the thing: rituals don’t have to be complicated, and yes, I struggled with the word rituals before deciding on it. I felt that saying I was doing a ritual was a HUGE commitment, but then I realized that they’re not about perfection, they’re about intention. And a word shouldn’t make a difference. Call it a ritual, a shift, a reset, or just a reminder (because we already know, we just need to be reminded to do them). A few minutes of care here and there, once a day or once a week, can make a bigger difference than trying to overhaul your entire life all at once. I know, I’ve tried it…and failed…multiple times. Doing it all always sounds better than it really is.
So instead of waiting for January 1st or some “perfect” moment, I’m building small shifts into my weekly rhythm, and sharing them with you. Some are about beauty and style, others about home, relationships, and even money. Each one is practical, approachable, and meant to remind us both that little shifts can bring big rewards.
What You Can Expect
Starting this coming Monday, every Monday (cough, cough, I’m setting my goals high right now), I’ll be sharing one new reset ritual right here. Think of it as a gentle nudge to start your week with something just for you, a reminder that taking care of yourself and your world doesn’t have to be overwhelming.
Some weeks, we’ll focus on skincare or hair. Other weeks, it might be organizing, building confidence, or connecting with nature. And sometimes, it’ll just be about joy because who doesn’t need a little more of that?
These aren’t high-maintenance, hours-long projects. They’re realistic, quick, and designed to fit into the life you’re already living.
