I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Mom Corps YOU. I received a free trial to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
Retirement never suited me.
I should have known before I packed it up, headed to South Florida and began doing nothing. I’m just not a do nothing type of person. Even now that I blog, I find myself hosting twitter parties, running campaigns, and writing for about a half dozen sites other than my own.
Part of it is the need to keep busy, and the other part is the fear of not having enough money to survive. Mr. S and I left the regular world of work at the same time and going from two incomes to NONE just made me feel uneasy. While I’m highly creative about doing all of the things that I love without having an unlimited income, being able to juggle finances for me is an issue. As if you haven’t noticed….I’m a spender.
I’ve been trying my hardest to change. I want to be a saver more than a spender (or at the very least find a balance between the two). I find life to be so much less stressful when my income exceeds the outgo, and the nest egg is on the increase.
Thanks to my recent partnership with Mom Corps YOU via MomCentral, I’ve been able to access some of financial expert Jean Chatsky’s help, including her recent ‘Become a Savvy Saver’ webinar sharing crucial tools for saving success. If you missed it, you’re in luck because Mom Corps keeps all of the webinars for you to access. Mom Corps YOU offers exclusive advice from Chatzky on how to cut fixed expenses, hire a financial adviser, and choose a credit card, so when I get that urge to spend, I head over and get a dose of her advice before making any of my rash decisions.
I’m determined to save more!
