Our 4th of July celebration usually means grabbing a beach chair and sitting by the side of the road to watch the parade, and coming back to the mansion for some BBQ and relaxing outdoors with the family. It’s a time to celebrate the birth of our nation, and remember that our forefathers signed the Declaration of Independence in 1776, so that we can have the freedoms that we still enjoy today.
Luckily, we don’t have to go far for fireworks! We live so close to Spring training camp for the Mets, and the fireworks begin exploding directly after tonight’s farm team game. The displays can be seen overhead from our yard.
