I love breakfast. There’s nothing like waking up to a hot cup of coffee and a great breakfast. Of course I have my favorites and there are things that I don’t really enjoy all that much. I think my favorite breakfast has to be Belgian Waffles (in Brussels of course) covered with fresh fruit. I’d make it at home, but WHO has the time to fuss like that in the morning?
My morning routine is usually a quick dash to the coffeemaker.
From there I glance up at the refrigerator door, to be reminded that….
I usually open up the refrigerator & freezer to gaze blankly inside to see what I have to eat. Since I’ve been sent these fabulous LOOKING Eggo Real Fruit Pizza’s in Strawberry Granola and Mixed Berry Granola to try.
They’re so easy to make. Simply open the box, place the pizza on the little cardboard stand and pop into the microwave or oven.
Voilá – I have a breakfast that’s as fresh tasting and reminds me of my favorite European treat…
How fabulous to be able to have this wholesome breakfast, in just ONE (to 1 1/2) MINUTE!
Mind you, if you’d prefer to bake these in your oven or toaster oven, you can. I was famished when I got up, so I knew that the microwave would be faster. I’m sure that this will give you a crunchier crust (although the little metal disc on the box that you microwave on helps to firm the crust a little bit).
I love the fact that these are made with FRESH fruit, granola, and a little neufchatel cheese. These are meant to be eaten by one person, but the serving seems large to me and you could easily share. While these aren’t low in calories (390 calories for that Mixed Berry Granola one that I downed) – when I compare to the Belgian Waffle that I’ve been craving (yes, a big thick waffle with fruit and whipped cream of course), these are a lot healthier.
