This March 8th is International Women’s Day, a time to celebrate the incredible women in our lives and honor ourselves get together to talk about how to rally for even more rights as well as to celebrate all that we do. This year, I’m planning something special—an intimate, cozy gathering with my best girlfriends, right at home. To wrap up the evening, we’ll be watching a movie that celebrates strong women. I’m thinking either Jane Goodall: The Hope, I Am Greta (about climate activist Greta Thunburg) or the iconic Gloria: In Her Own Words with Gloria Steinem the face of the 1970s Women’s Liberation Movement.
As a little surprise, I’m putting together self-care goodie bags with face masks, candles, and a handwritten note for each of my friends. It’s a small way to remind them how amazing they are and to encourage them to take time for themselves.
