A little earlier this year (maybe a couple of months ago) I did a little trip on the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, and as someone who pretty much gambles on every cruise, I was excited to learn that the cruise line had changed its casino comp program. I thought the new structure was already a step in the right direction, and as a result I have been getting casino offers from them on a very regular basis.
But I just heard that Margaritaville at Sea announced its latest collection of Casino Players Club benefits, and honestly, this one blows the other one out of the water. LOL.
The cruise line is adding a long list of new rewards for Gold and Platinum members, including complimentary Wi-Fi, welcome gifts, laundry service, room service, personalized VIP attention, and, for qualifying Platinum players, an extra oceanview stateroom for two friends or family members. Wait, WHAT? If I get to platinum, I can bring the kids along in their own cabin for FREE?
WOW, this is no minor adjustment to a casino tier program. For players who compare offers, benefits, and overall value before deciding which ship to book, these changes could make one heck of a difference. They may also give gamblers who have never tried Margaritaville at Sea a very good reason to take another look.
Casino Perks That Matter Beyond the Casino
The best casino loyalty programs do more than give players a few complimentary drinks or a discount on a future sailing. They make the entire cruise feel easier, more comfortable, and more rewarding.
That is what caught my attention about these new benefits. While casino free play and complimentary cruise offers are always important, the everyday extras can add up quickly. Wi-Fi, laundry, and room service are the kinds of things many cruisers pay for separately. When they are included as part of a casino loyalty tier, they can reduce the real cost of the vacation.
Gold Casino Players Club members will receive a complimentary Basic Wi-Fi package, while Platinum members will receive Premium Wi-Fi. As a content creator who frequently works while traveling, Wi-Fi is never just a nice little bonus for me. It is something I need, and it can be a significant additional expense. Having it included immediately adds so much value to any sailing.
Gold and Platinum players will also find a personalized welcome gift waiting in their stateroom. A welcome amenity may not be the most valuable benefit in dollars, but I can tell you that it does make guests feel appreciated. Loyalty programs are supposed to make loyal customers feel special, and a personal touch can go a long way.
Platinum Players Get Some Seriously Valuable Extras
The biggest changes are waiting at the Platinum level.
Platinum members will receive personal VIP host service, giving them a dedicated contact who can help create a more personalized onboardexperience. If you have ever had a great casino host, you already know how much of a difference that relationship can make. The first thing I do when I go to a casino at sea is to introduce myself to the host. It’s amazing what can happen when they get to KNOW you. It is not simply about receiving an offer. Having someone who understands your play, recognizes your loyalty, and can help you navigate your benefits is HUGE (at least for me). I can ask how many points I have, if I’ve gained any perks for that days play, etc.
Platinum members will also be invited to an annual Platinum Players Dinner, and Event created especially for the cruise line’s highest casino tier. Exclusive events add a social side to casino loyalty, giving frequent players another reason to return while creating a sense of community among members.
Then there are two benefits that make life onboard easier. Complimentary laundry and complimentary room service.
Laundry is one of those perks that becomes increasingly valuable on a longer trip, especially if you are trying to pack light. Room service is another benefit that can make a vacation feel more relaxing. Sometimes you simply want breakfast in your stateroom, a quiet bite after a busy day in port, or something to eat without getting dressed and heading back out.
Those conveniences might not sound as flashy as free play, but they are benefits guests can actually use throughout the cruise.
The Second Stateroom Could Be a Game Changer
The new benefit that surprised me most is called Sail with Friends. Platinum members can receive an additional oceanview stateroom for two guests, allowing them to bring friends or family along on the getaway.
That is huge.
Cruise casino offers often focus on the player and the person sharing their cabin. An additional stateroom opens up an entirely different kind of value. It could allow a couple to bring another couple, grandparents to invite adult children (YES), or friends to turn a casino getaway into a group vacation without squeezing everyone into the same room.
Of course, eligibility requirements, availability, and program terms will apply. Still, this is the sort of benefit that can influence an actual booking decision. It is easy to overlook a small onboard credit when comparing cruise lines. The possibility of adding another oceanview stateroom for two people is much harder to ignore.
How the Margaritaville at Sea Casino Players Club Works
Margaritaville at Sea introduced its four-tier Casino Players Club in 2025. Members begin at Bronze and move through Silver, Gold, and then onto Platinum as they earn cumulative tier points.
Silver status begins at 1,000 tier points, Gold at 7,500, and Platinum at 15,000. Benefits increase at each level and include a mix of casino rewards, cruise offers, onboard credits, packages and VIP experiences.
Existing benefits for qualifying Silver, Gold and Platinum members can include up to $100 per sailing in spa, shore excursion or arcade credits. Depending on tier and eligibility, members may also receive complimentary cruise fares for the player and as many as three guests, beverage and dining packages, VIP check-in and disembarkation, priority theater seating, drinks while playing in the casino, free-play offers, and invitations to casino promotions and events.
The new Gold and Platinum benefits are bookable now for sailings beginning Oct. 1, 2026.
Already Have Casino Offers Somewhere Else? You May Not Have to Start Over
One of the smartest parts of the program is Margaritaville at Sea’s Casino Offer Match.
Established casino players can submit a current offer from another cruise line or a land-based casino for consideration. If the offer qualifies, Margaritaville at Sea can recognize the player’s existing casino value instead of making that person start from zero.
That matters because casino players like me can be hesitant to try a new cruise line when we already receive strong offers elsewhere. Walking away from established benefits to try out an unfamiliar program can feel like leaving money on the table (literally). An offer-match program lowers that barrier and gives experienced players a way to see what Margaritaville at Sea offers without giving up the value they have already earned elsewhere.
It is also a confident move by the cruise line. Margaritaville at Sea is essentially inviting casino guests to bring their best eligible offers and give the brand a chance to win their loyalty.
“Whether someone has been playing with us for years or is considering Margaritaville at Sea for the first time, we want them to feel recognized and rewarded,” said David Gromak, vice president and head of gaming at Margaritaville at Sea.
Why This Could Change Which Cruise Casino Players Choose
I have learned that there is a big difference between receiving a complimentary cruise and receiving a cruise offer that delivers meaningful value from beginning to end. Taxes, fees, Wi-Fi, drinks, dining, laundry, room service, and the cost of bringing other people can all affect how generous an offer truly is.
That is why I pay attention to the complete benefits package, not only the word “complimentary.”
Margaritaville at Sea’s expanded program brings more of those extras into the equation. Gold members gain practical value through Basic Wi-Fi and a welcome gift. Platinum members move into a much more elevated experience with Premium Wi-Fi, personal host service, exclusive events, laundry, room service, and the potential for an additional oceanview stateroom.
For gamblers who cruise often, loyalty benefits can absolutely influence where we sail. We want to feel that our play is recognized, but we also want a program that improves the vacation outside the casino. These new benefits do exactly that.
I enjoyed being aboard Paradise and was already happy to see Margaritaville at Sea making changes to its casino comp program. This latest expansion takes that progress much further. The combination of casino rewards, vacation conveniences, and benefits that can be shared with friends or family makes the Players Club much more competitive.
Will I still compare my offers, look at the itinerary, and consider the overall cruise experience before booking? Of course. Every casino player should. But this new program has definitely given me another reason to consider Margaritaville at Sea when deciding where to gamble and sail next.
