There is a version of a European summer vacation that does not involve squeezing through packed piazzas, waiting in endless attraction lines or attempting to find a quiet corner on an overcrowded Mediterranean beach.

For travelers who have already visited cities such as London, Paris and Rome, the itineraries offer a chance to see a quieter and less familiar side of Western Europe. Even first-time visitors may appreciate being introduced to destinations where the experience is not dominated by famous landmarks and crowds.
The Most Complete Journey From Ireland to Spain
The longest of the four voyages is Western Europe’s Hidden Gems, a 14-night sailing from Dublin to Bilbao departing July 6, 2027.
This is the most comprehensive itinerary in the collection, following the Atlantic coast from Ireland through Britain and France before concluding in Spain’s Basque Country.
The journey begins in Dublin and includes calls at Cobh and Cork, where travelers can explore Irish maritime history and visit Cork’s historic English Market. The covered food market has been part of the city since the 18th century and remains a gathering place for local producers, butchers, bakers and specialty food vendors.
From Ireland, Sea Cloud Spirit continues to Tresco in the Isles of Scilly. Located off the southwestern tip of Cornwall, this small island is home to Tresco Abbey Garden. Thanks to the islands’ mild climate, the garden contains thousands of plants from regions including South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and South America.
The itinerary also visits Dartmouth, a picturesque town in Devon, and Guernsey, one of the Channel Islands. In Dartmouth, travelers can ride the heritage steam railway and see the rolling landscapes of the English Riviera. Ireland, England and France in Six Nights
Travelers who want a shorter voyage can choose Enjoy Britain in Full Bloom, sailing from Dublin to Honfleur from July 6 through July 12, 2027.
The six-night journey includes Ireland, the Isles of Scilly, southern England, Guernsey and Normandy. It offers many of the northern highlights from the longer itinerary without continuing down the French coast to Spain.
In Cork, the English Market provides an introduction to the region through its food. Tresco offers the unexpected sight of subtropical plants growing on a British island, while Dartmouth combines a historic waterfront with the nostalgia of a steam railway journey.
Guernsey adds wildflower-covered cliffs and Channel Island charm before Sea Cloud Spirit crosses to Honfleur.
Honfleur’s old harbor is lined with narrow, colorful buildings that have inspired generations of painters. Its cobbled streets, galleries, cafes and maritime character make it an appropriately beautiful conclusion to a voyage built around gardens, scenery and smaller coastal communities.

The eight-night Charm of the Atlantic Coast voyage sails from Honfleur to Bilbao from July 12 through July 20, 2027.
This itinerary will appeal to travelers who plan their vacations around history, art, food and wine. Beginning in Normandy, it includes a Calvados tasting before continuing toward Brittany, Bordeaux and the Basque Country.
The ancient megaliths of Carnac are among the journey’s most fascinating historic attractions. Their exact purpose remains a mystery, which only adds to the experience of walking among rows of stones that have stood for thousands of years.
Belle-Île-en-Mer offers a dramatic change of scenery with its windswept cliffs, rock formations, beaches and artistic history. The island’s coastline famously inspired Claude Monet, who painted its rocky landscapes during an extended visit in the 1880s.
In Bordeaux, travelers can experience one of France’s great wine regions while also exploring the city’s neoclassical architecture and riverfront. The voyage then continues toward San Sebastián, where La Concha Bay provides one of Europe’s most beautiful urban waterfronts.

This seven-night itinerary follows the Atlantic coast from Spain’s Basque Country to Portugal, combining smaller destinations with two of the Iberian Peninsula’s most compelling cities.
Highlights include Oviedo, known for its medieval streets and historic center, and Santiago de Compostela, the famous culmination of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route.
The voyage also visits the Islas Cíes, a protected Spanish archipelago known for white-sand beaches, clear water and unspoiled natural landscapes. Daily visitor numbers are controlled to help protect the islands, contributing to the sense that this is a destination far removed from Europe’s busiest summer resorts.
In Portugal, the itinerary includes Porto, where historic wine cellars line the Douro River and centuries of port wine tradition remain central to the city’s identity.
