Just in time for Labor Day, Celebrity Cruises has launched a major summer sale that could make your next cruise significantly more affordable. From now through September 21, 2026, travelers can receive 75% off the second guest’s cruise fare, plus save as much as $750 per stateroom on select sailings departing through May 10, 2029.
Guests considering a holiday cruise have another incentive to book. The promotion includes an additional $100 savings bonus on select 2026 holiday-season sailings.
Even better for families and multigenerational travelers, additional guests sharing the same stateroom can sail free on select cruises. That could add up to considerable savings for parents traveling with children, grandparents planning a family vacation, or friends who do not mind sharing their space.
The promotion is available on select sailings of three nights or longer, giving travelers plenty of options. You could book a quick Bahamas getaway, spend a week island-hopping in the Caribbean or finally start planning that longer bucket-list vacation you have been talking about for years.
Where Can You Go With the Celebrity Cruises Sale?
The Celebrity Cruises summer sale includes some of my favorite itineraries. In fact, there are cruises going to 300 destinations around the world. You can choose from sailings throughout the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe, the Mediterranean, the Bahamas, Asia, and other regions. That means the sale is not limited to a small selection of ships or destinations (like the usual Caribbean sales). Depending on availability and departure dates, you could use it to explore the historic cities and picturesque islands of Europe, trade cold winter weather for sunshine in the Caribbean, or even experience the glaciers and wildlife of Alaska like I did this year on the Solstice.
European itineraries might take you to the Greek Isles, Italy, Spain, France, Malta, or Turkey. Follow my journey in two weeks while I’m on board the Xcel through Greece, Turkey, Malta, and ending in Spain. Of course, there are still the Caribbean choices, including everything from short escapes to the Bahamas (my faves for quick getaways) to longer cruises visiting islands such as St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Aruba, Curaçao, and Barbados. Alaska sailings offer opportunities to see dramatic scenery, glaciers and wildlife while enjoying the comforts of a premium cruise ship.
The promotion extends to select cruises sailing through May 10, 2029, so you don’t necessarily have to travel immediately. I love that there’s a longer booking window; that way, if there’s an upcoming birthday or anniversary, or even a girlfriend getaway (but your girlfriend can’t quite get away right now), you can book it NOW and go later.
That gives you time to coordinate schedules with your spouse, friends, or extended family. While the vacation might be several years away, booking early like this can offer you a broader choice of ships, itineraries, and stateroom locations.
Just to let you know – Celebrity’s Galapagos expeditions and Celebrity River Cruises are excluded from this particular offer.
How Much Can You Save?
Well, that all depends on how many nights and the stateroom you want to book. In general, travelers booking longer cruises and higher stateroom categories will receive the largest bonuses.
For cruises lasting three to five nights, the available per-stateroom savings are:
- $150 for an Inside or Ocean View stateroom
- $250 for a Veranda, Concierge Class or AquaClass stateroom
- $400 for accommodations in The Retreat
For sailings of six nights or longer, the available per-stateroom savings increase to:
- $200 for an Inside or Ocean View stateroom
- $350 for a Veranda, Concierge Class or AquaClass stateroom
- $750 for accommodations in The Retreat
These savings are in addition to the 75% discount on the second guest’s cruise fare on qualifying sailings.
Travelers booking certain 2026 holiday-season cruises may also receive an additional $100 savings bonus. We love traveling over the holidays (because I hate cooking and cleaning for the holidays…LOL). Yes, you now have an EXCUSE not to host (sorry, we won’t be home this year – no cooking, no cleaning, no family arguments, and no one complaining that they have to sleep on that air mattress in the middle of the living room floor).
Better idea! The family could celebrate while someone else handles the meals, entertainment, and housekeeping.
Is It Worth Upgrading Your Stateroom?
Well, because the additional savings increase with the stateroom category, this sale could be a good time to compare the price of an upgraded room rather than automatically booking the least expensive option.
A Veranda stateroom gives you a private outdoor space where you can enjoy room-service coffee in the morning, watch the ship arrive in port, or relax with a glass of wine before dinner. Concierge Class adds a few extra touches, like not fighting the crowds in the Oceanview Cafe when you board and having a “dignified” lunch in the dining room, while AquaClass is designed for travelers who want their cruise to include more of a wellness experience. That’s MY choice – days at the spa and evenings dining in Blu because AquaClass guests traditionally receive benefits such as access to the exclusive Blu restaurant and amenities connected to Celebrity’s spa-focused experience. Specific benefits can vary by ship, so make sure to review the details before booking.
The Retreat is Celebrity’s luxury suite experience, offering spacious accommodations and access to exclusive areas and services. Depending on the ship, these may include a private restaurant, lounge, and outdoor retreat space. Oh, and yes, you’ll have a butler (no, his name probably won’t be Jeeves). But with the largest savings bonus in the promotion- up to $750 per stateroom, applying to qualifying Retreat accommodations on cruises of six nights or longer this is the time to splurge.
Of course, that doesn’t automatically mean a suite will be the best value for every traveler. But that increased bonus may narrow the price difference enough to make an upgraded experience worth considering, especially for a honeymoon, major anniversary, or other special occasion. Make sure to compare the final prices rather than focusing only on the advertised discount.
Why This Sale Could Be Especially Helpful for Families
Cruise pricing can become complicated when more than two people share a room. That is why the “additional guests sail free” portion of the promotion may be one of its most valuable features for families.
On select sailings, third and fourth guests in the same stateroom can sail free. Taxes, fees, port expenses, and other charges may still apply, and not every ship, sailing, or room category will qualify, so make sure to check because staterooms vary from one class of ship to another. Families need to look for staterooms designed to accommodate the correct number of guests. A standard room that sleeps two cannot simply be booked for four.
Cruise ship occupancy limits are strict. Remember that family-friendly rooms, connecting staterooms, and larger suites can also sell out faster than accommodations for two. So, if you are planning a multigenerational vacation, booking earlier may give you a better chance of finding nearby or connecting rooms. It can also make it easier to coordinate dining reservations and other activities once the appropriate booking windows open.
